Good evening Gunners!

The women’s volleyball team ended their season this past Friday with a loss in the first round of the NCAA tournament to #11 Penn State. Despite the loss, the Tigers still won the Ivy League Championship and made their third NCAA appearance in 4 years. Screen Shot 2019-12-08 at 8.33.07 PM.png

The end of the fall sports season marks the beginning of the winter sports, and Princeton basketball is now in full swing. My sports updates from here on out will be focusing on both the men’s and women’s teams as we follow numerous Cannon members in their seasons. The women’s ice hockey team is also in full swing, as is swimming and diving.

In hockey news, the women’s team is ranked #6 nationally and they are currently 10 and 3 overall. House Manager and senior Carly Bullock has recently been selected to participate in the USA Hockey winter training camp this upcoming week as she looks to make the USA team.

This past weekend, the club had a formal event that was enjoyed by members and guests alike. Social chairs Will Gladson and Taylor Baur put on a Wizard of Oz themed event, and Bill and the kitchen staff provided guests with a delicious meal. There was music, a photobooth, and plenty of food and drinks to go around.

With winter break coming next week, the club will be relatively quiet until January and February. Once February comes around though, events will be in full swing! Bicker and elections are up next on Cannon’s plate and many exciting changes are in store.

Wishing everyone a safe and fun holiday with family and friends!
