CDE takes Tokyo

Cannon Dial Elm members and alumni can be proud in the knowledge that we will be well represented at this years olympic games in Tokyo.
Ed Trippas ’22 will be representing Australia in the 3000 metre steeplechase at the upcoming Olympic games having qualified in an outstanding time of 8:19.60. Not only is that an outstanding time, but it makes him the 3rd fastest Aussie of all time over the distance. Ed is now also No. 10 all time for NCAA athletes. We absolutely cannot wait to cheer Ed on over the barriers in Tokyo. Good Luck!
CDE alumni Julia Ratcliffe ’16 is no stranger to success. She has a gold medal from the 2018 commonwealth games, Oceania and New Zealand records, an NCAA title, and First Team all American Honours, to name just a few. Now Julia has made her first olympic team throwing 73.55 metres to qualify to compete in the women’s hammer throw. Julia is such an impressive athlete, we are all backing her to go the distance in Tokyo! Good Luck!
