Hi Everyone, hope your Monday is off to a great start! Here is the second edition of Get to Know Your Officers but before you learn about the rest of them, we have some big sports news to report.
The Women’s Basketball team is IVY LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!!

Our Tigers had an incredible weekend defeating Yale by 19 points and then a whopping 29 point victory in the championship game against Penn. Watch the NCAA Tournament selection show tonight at 7 on ESPC to see where the Tigers will be playing.
Without further ado, here are the rest of your officers.

Julia Haney – President
Hello, my name is Julia Haney, and I am so grateful to be serving as the new – and first female – President of Cannon Dial Elm. I am a junior on the Women’s Lacrosse team, and I’m pursuing a major in History of Science. On campus, I’m also on the Princeton Faith and Action worship team and serve other fellow student-athletes as a SAWL: Student Athlete Wellness Leader. I’m also very excited to be heading the Class of 1963’s 55th reunion later this year, which will be a great opportunity to get to know numerous CDE alumni who are apart of that class. I so eagerly look forward to working with our amazing new officer core as we continue to make Cannon the best space and home it can be for our members.

Keiko DeClerck – Social Chair
My name is Keiko, and I am really excited to be elected as the new female Social Chair for Cannon Dial Elm Club. I am a Civil and Environmental Engineering major with a focus on Structural Engineering and also play on the Women’s Ice Hockey Team. Last summer I interned at Winning By Design, a SaaS Sales Strategy Company. I was in charge of restyling their website, optimizing their site for SEO, and creating a blog. I am in the process of finalizing what I will being doing this summer, but my hopes are to be working for a Civil Engineering firm both in the office and the field, so I can learn more about all sides of the industry.

Jesper Horsted – IM Chair
Hi my name is Jesper Horsted, I play baseball, football and too many IMs to name. I’m a Sociology major from Minneapolis, MN with a certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies. I spent last summer in Central America surfing thanks to the Martin Dale grant. For the upcoming summer, I am still a variety of different options.

Elias Berbari – Social Chair
Hello, my name is Elias and I am the new Social chair from Greenlawn, New York. I play for the men’s basketball team, I am a Student Athlete Wellness Leader, and I am in Habitat for Humanity as well as the Princeton Conservation Society. I am an ecology and evolutionary biology major, and this summer I will be conducting thesis research in the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve in Mexico, where I will study a troop of spider monkeys and how they are affected by potential tourist infrastructure development.

Andrew Diehl – Vice President
Hi my name is Andrew and I couldn’t be more excited to be the new Vice President of Cannon. I am an Economics major going for a certificate in finance. I am a high jumper on the track and field team and also a member of Princeton Faith and Action (PFA) in charge of setting up for weekly services. Last summer I was in the Dominican Republic working in a community development program. This summer I am exploring a couple of different options in the wealth management and financial services world.
