We’re on a mission

The Cannon Dial Elm Club aims to provide members with superb meals, social engagement, community involvement, fun activities and entertainment, and a comfortable place to study (or a respite from the rigors of university life).

The clubhouse spans three stories and boasts the largest basement on Prospect Avenue. The first floor includes the Crane Room, Dining Room, billiards room, piano room, and sunroom, where students can be found spending time with friends. The second floor houses the Class of 2014 Library, along with a theater room where students enjoy playing Rock Band and watching their teammates during March Madness.

Membership benefits

The Cannon Dial Elm Club offers a multitude of dining, social, collaborative, study, and recreational benefits all of which are detailed in your member contract. Below is an overview of the key benefits to membership.

Meals entitlement

  • Regular/Full Members: 19 meals per week.
  • RCA Members: 9 meals per week.
  • Sophomores: 2 lunches or dinners per week + Saturday dinner.

House privileges

  • Admittance to the clubhouse during normal operating hours;
  • Use of the Club’s common areas and recreational facilities; and
  • Admittance to members’ parties and events.

Events and activities

  • Themed Semi Formal & Formals each semester;
  • Members activities such as comedy night, Thursday night football watch parties, paint and sip, yoga, intramural sports, Friday nights on tap;
  • Weekly Saturday night social events; and plenty more.

Alumni

  • Receive advance notice of upcoming events and the opportunity to reserve a parking spot in the Club lot.
  • Access to the Gear Store website twice a year to order custom Club apparel.
  • Leadership and Top Gun alumni can reserve a Club room for social events.
  • Leadership and Top Gun alumni are recognized on the donor roll plaque on display in the front hall.

Monday-Friday

Breakfast: 7:30 am – 9:30 am

7:30 am: Continental breakfast.
8:00 am – 9:30 am: Hot food to order.
8:00 am – 9:30 am: Smoothies!
9:30 am: Breakfast service ends.

Lunch: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

11:30 am – 1:30 pm: Buffet.
11:45 am – 1:15 pm: Grill service.
11:45 am – 1:15 pm: Smoothies!
1:30 pm: Lunch ends.

Friday is Pizza Day and there is a shortened special menu.

Dinner: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Grill service with specials.
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm: Dessert is available.

Weekend

Brunch: 10:00 am – 1:15 pm

10:00 am: Continental breakfast.
11:00 am: Buffet opens.
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Omelet service.
1:15 pm: Brunch ends.

Dinner: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Dinner buffet.
