Impressive Final Results from CDE Fall Athletes

The Fall of 2025 was one for the books for the Gunners. The membership continues to dominate their athletic competitions in the Ivy League and Nationally!

Here are some of the most notable performances by members from this past fall.

Basketball

Women’s Basketball has been on a tear this Fall! They are currently 13-1 and 5-0 at home. Results like these are a product of great coaching and great players. We are lucky to get to call 3 Ivy League Player of the Week Award winners Gunners. Fedima Tall, Olivia Hutcherson, and Skye Belker have are all Gunner recipients.

Soccer

Princeton set an Ivy League record this year with 4 MLS draft picks selected from this years senior class. Captain Giuliano Fravolini Whitchurch was a first round pick, selected by LAFC as the 24th overall in addition to being selected as a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American, and first-team all-IVY. He is an active member in the club and we will miss him dearly as he looks to dominate in the professional league.

Volleyball

Princeton women’s volleyball had an amazing fall! Since most of the upperclassmen on the team are Gunners, this also means that, by extension, Cannon had an amazing fall! Sydney Draper was named Player of the Year. Valerie Nutakor was named First Team All-Ivy, and Lucia Scalamandre and Erin McNair were named Second Team. Ella Bunde was also named Academic All-Ivy League. What an impressive Gunner crew!

Field Hockey

Beth Yeager Named One Of Four Finalists For The Honda Award (The Heisman of Field Hockey)

What an incredible season from our Princeton Women’s Field Hockey team that is littered with Gunner Talent. International Super-Star Beth Yeager has impressed us all with her skills, the most famous being her legendary “Yeager Bomb Strike,” and her ability to lead. It is no secret that without her and the other gunners, there is no way they would have made it to the National Championship this year. Beth is a senior member of Cannon Dial Elm, and we are so glad to have her for another semester before she plays field hockey abroad in search of an Olympic Gold Medal.

We cannot wait for the spring as the new wave of Gunners take to their sports. The Big Gunner Grill is seriously making an impact on the field and in the classroom. Be ready for more updates and preview of the spring to come.
