Quick Summer Update :)

Dial lodge moose lives again at CDE!

Hello everyone! Long time, no see 🙂

I am just checking in with a quick (but very cool update) for you all. The Club has had a new renovation…

Ralph Wright, Dial ’88 and the Graduate Board Trustee were responsible for spearheading the fundraising for the revival of the Moose!
The Moose has been a symbol of the club for generations. There is a large Moose mount upstairs in the Crane room near the ceiling, and another Moose greeted students as they entered the predecessor clubs.

In the summer of 1987, Jon Holland ’89 took his paints and talents and created a moose on the wall to the Dial Lodge taproom. This moose pays homage to Jon’s original artwork with a few additional flourishes done by local Princeton artist, Victoria Bell ’99.

Sadly, Jon passed a few years ago. Spearheaded by Jon’s friends, Ralph Wright ’88, Al Gayle ’88 and Jon’s brother, Steve Holland ’88 and many others, we have recreated Jon’s artwork in celebration for his 35th reunion.” – Ralph Wright ’88

I just wanted to share this amazing artwork and even better story. It is a reminder of what it really means to be a part of CDE. We are all a part of this family, together. The moose is a symbol of this forever family, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.

That is all I have for now. I will be back in a month or so with news from the start of another year at CDE. Until then, enjoy your summers!

Best,

Mia
